Lakeshore Door Specialists

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: July 11, 2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern use of the Lakeshore Door Specialists website (doorrepairoakville.ca) and the door repair services we provide in Oakville, ON, and nearby Halton Region.

By using this site, requesting a quote, or booking work, you agree to these Terms. If something here does not match a written on-site agreement for a specific job, the on-site scope and price we confirm with you before work starts controls for that visit.

Who we are

Lakeshore Door Specialists operates as Lakeshore Door Specialists. We are a mobile repair crew — we travel to you across Oakville, Burlington, Milton, Bronte, Glen Abbey, Mississauga, Halton Hills. Contact: (289) 206-6020 · info@doorrepairoakville.ca.

Services

We offer residential and commercial door repair, including work such as emergency securing of openings, entry and patio hardware repair, garage door and spring service where listed, frame and lock repairs, and related hardware fixes described on our service pages.

We work repair-first: we inspect the opening, explain what failed, and repair when it is safe and lasting. Replacement is recommended only when the slab, frame, or system cannot hold a reliable fix. You stay in control of that decision after we lay out the options.

Quotes, photos, and on-site scope

Website content and phone conversations are guidance — not a fixed price list. We do not publish invented dollar amounts online.

  • Send accurate details and clear photos when you can (full door, latch/lock side, damage, and for garages the spring bar and track)
  • A photo-based estimate is provisional until we see the opening in person
  • Final scope and price are confirmed on site before work proceeds
  • Parts availability, hidden damage, unsafe springs, or frame failure can change the plan — we will explain that before continuing

Customer responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide safe access to the door, garage, or storefront during the scheduled visit
  • Share accurate information about the problem, prior DIY attempts, and any known hazards
  • Keep children and pets clear of the work area, especially around garage torsion springs and power tools
  • Not ask us to leave an opening unsecured when we have advised that a temporary secure is needed

Garage springs and DIY safety

Garage torsion springs and cables are under high tension. Do not wind, cut, or adjust them yourself. If a door is off-track or the spring has failed, call us and keep people clear of the opening until it is made safe.

Payment

Payment is due as agreed when the job is booked or completed, unless we arrange otherwise in writing. Accepted methods are confirmed at the time of service. Outstanding balances may delay follow-up visits or warranty support for that job.

Website use

Use this site lawfully. Do not misuse forms, attempt to disrupt the site, scrape content for competing commercial use without permission, or submit false service requests. Content on the site (copy, photos, logos, layout) belongs to us or our licensors.

Limitation of liability

We take care with every opening, but door systems involve existing wear, prior damage, building movement, and manufacturer limits. To the fullest extent permitted by Ontario law, our liability for a specific job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (for example lost business time, temporary boarding costs beyond what we agreed, or third-party claims) except where the law does not allow that limit.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such exclusion is prohibited.

Privacy

How we handle personal information — including quote-form photos — is described in our Privacy Policy on this website.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Courts in Ontario have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or our services, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.

Changes

We may update these Terms when our practices change. The “Last updated” date will reflect the revision. Continued use of the site or booking of services after an update means you accept the revised Terms for future visits.
